All about Attic Door Insulation Covers & The Importance Of Attic Insulation

There is a pull down stair to our attic, and the previous homeowner had installed a wooden “lid” in the attic across the top. It was impossible to get a good seal. How To Install Your Attic Tent:
What You Need:
1. Heavy Duty Staple Gun. 2. Double sided duct tape (optional). 3. Aluminium tape (optional).
Tip: Line your attic hatch with the double sided duct tape to hold the cover in place whilst stapling (optional).
- Unfold the attic cover into a long rectangular shape.
- Insert the cover so that it fits snug inside your attic opening, make sure the front of the cover is nearest to where your stairs meet the attic floor.
- Staple the cover to the frame of your opening. Staple every 6 inches or so to hold the cover in place (if no duct tape was used), then go back and staple in a continuous line. Be sure to go all the way around and staple all sides firmly to the frame.
- For extra seal, you may use aluminium tape over the stapled areas (optional). Please note that full instructions are included.
